Description
Македонски: Демонстрација на гасење вар како силно егзотермент процес. Кон парчиња негасена вар (калциум оксид, CaO) се додава вода од капалка, а температурата се контролира со електронски термометар. По кратко време започнува изразена егзоенергетска реакција („гасење вар“) што може да се опише со равенката:
CaO(s) + H2O(l) = Ca(OH)2(s).

Температурата може да се покачи до околу 300 ºС.

Осмислено и изведено од Марина Стојановска, Миха Буклески и Владимир Петрушевски, Институт за хемија, ПМФ, УКИМ, Скопје.
English: A demonstration of slaking of quicklime as a strongly exothermic reaction. Drops of water are added to pieces of quicklime. After a while, a pronounced exothermic reaction occurs ('slaking of lime') that can be described by the equation:
CaO(s) + H2O(l) = Ca(OH)2(s).

The temperature can reach up to some 300 °С.

Română: Demonstrație a stingerii varului ca reacție puternic exoenergetică. La bucățile de var nestins se adaugă picături de apă. După o vreme, are loc o reacție cu un pronunțat caracter exoenergetic („stingerea varului”) ce poate fi descrisă prin ecuația:
CaO(s) + H2O(l) = Ca(OH)2(s).

Temperatura poate ajunge până la 300 °С.

Polski: Demonstracja gaszenia wapna palonego jako reakcji silnie egzotermicznej. Do kawałków wapna palonego dodawane są krople wody. Po chwili rozpoczyna się wyraźna reakcja egzotermiczna („gaszenie wapna”), którą można opisać równaniem:
CaO(s) + H2O(l) = Ca(OH)2(s).
Temperatura może dochodzić do około 300 °С.
Čeština: Pokus, demonstrující hašení páleného vápna jako příklad silně exotermmí reakce. Kapky vody jsou přidávány k pevnému oxidu vápenatému a po chvíli nastává chemická reakce, vyjádřená rovnicí:
CaO + H2O ⟶ Ca(OH)2.
Teplota přitom může dosáhnout až hodnoty 300 °С.
