This tartan image could be re-created using vector graphics as an SVG file. This has several advantages; see Commons:Media for cleanup for more information. If an SVG form of this image is available, please upload it and afterwards replace this template with {{vector version available|new image name}}.


It is recommended to name the SVG file “Campbell of Cawdor tartan.svg”—then the template Vector version available (or Vva) does not need the new image name parameter.

Summary

Description A digital representation of the Campbell of Cawdor tartan. Image made with Adobe Photoshop CS2. Thread count used to create this image: A4-K2-G16-K16-B16-K2-R4. The tartan did not originally have a name, until it was called an "Argyle" tartan in 1789. Not until W. and A. Smith's book in 1850 was this tartan actually named "Campbell of Cawdor". The tartan is authorised as one of the official clan tartans of Clan Campbell, by the current clan chief the Duke of Argyll. [1]
