Description
Español: Retrato del militar español Carlos Chacón y Michelena (1816-1863). Ascendió a capitán de fragata en 1856 y fue gobernador de la isla de Fernando Póo, y el 1 de agosto de 1858, asumió la jefatura de la División Naval del Golfo de Guinea, y continuó desempeñando ese cargo hasta finales de 1859, en que fue ascendido a capitán de navío y nombrado capitán de Puerto Cárdenas, en la isla de Cuba. Regresó a España en 1862, y se le condeció el mando de la fragata Victoria, que se construía en esos momentos en Inglaterra, aunque su muerte con solo 47 años le impidió llegar a ostentarlo.
