Description

English: The Devonshire Dome in Buxton, Derbyshire, England. The dome began life as a superior stable! It became the Devonshire Royal Hospital and now serves as the Devonshire Campus of the University of Derby. The description at Images of England gives the full text of the inscription on the frieze. A Foucault pendulum hangs in the middle.
