"America's Junior Flying Champ Getting Some Sisterly Attention After Breaking Cross Country Record. August 25, 1930; Jersey City, New Jersey. Eddie Schneider, 18, Junior cross-country record holder, getting a nice, hot cup of coffee prepared by sister Alice at their Jersey City home. Young Schneider gulped down the coffee and rushed off to Roosevelt Field to hop off for the Chicago Air Races to seek more records. Earlier in the day Eddie delivered a letter to Mayor Hague from the Mayor of Los Angeles."
