Description

Norsk nynorsk: Våpen for Flora kommune i Sogn og Fjordane fylke, godkjent ved kongeleg resolusjon 6. oktober 1967.
Motiv: På raud botn tre sølv sildar i skråstilling. Det rike sildefisket var bakgrunnen til at Florø fekk ladestadsrettar i 1860, og dette er den direkte årsaka til valet av våpenmotivet. Då våpenet vart innvigd ved 100-årsjubileet i 1960, minte ordføraren om at sildefisket på desse kantane er omtalt allereie i sagalitteraturen.
