English: The Royal Navy is challenging young people from across the UK to build a remote-controlled vessel capable of recovering objects on the seabed in 24 hours to mark the Year of Engineering and members of the media are invited to attend an interactive engineering challenge held by the Royal Navy during Year of Engineering 2018.Today at HMS Sultan, Gosport welcomed youngsters from across the United Kingdom to take part in the Royal Navy Engineering Challenge 2018– Exercise Clean Sweep.Held in partnership with University Technical Colleges (UTCs) and affiliated employers, schools, Babcock and BAE Systems, the challenge aims to inspire young people to engage further with science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) subjects.
