Description

Ruins of the Ho Phra Keo royal temple in Vientiane, Laos as depicted by Louis Delaporte c.1867. Vientiane, the former capital of Lan Xang was destroyed by the Siamese following the Lao rebellion in 1828 led by King Anouvong. The city and Ho Phra Keo were later rebuilt by the French.
