Summary

Description
English: This photograph shows five sailors kneeling with holystones, surrounded by 14 other sailors, all obviously posing for the camera. According to the handwritten text on the album sheet to which the photograph is affixed this is "HM.S. Pandora. Holy stoning the deck". There is no information as to who the photographer may be, and considering that the photograph must have been taken before 1913 (the date HMS Pandora was scrapped), it is unlikely that he/she can now be identified.
Date Exact date not known, but must be between 1900 and 1913 - the years in which HMS Pandora was operating.
Source A photograph in Smalljim's collection.
