English: "Gentilhomme inconnu" ("Unknown gentleman") is the title given on the Musée Condé website for this sketch. The info page there states that one Bouchot (possibly Henri Bouchot?) is said to have identified the subject as Louis de Brézé, comte de Maulevrier (1459-1531).
