Summary

Description
English: Final paragraph of a contract from 1750 signed by George II of Great Britain, pertaining to forest boundaries in his German Principality of Hanover. The Protestant states within the Holy Roman Empire had adopted the Gregorian calendar in 1700, whereas Great Britain did not do this until 1752. The contract is therefore dated using both calendars, i.e. 3/14 April 1750; this date was the 3rd of April according to the Julian calendar and the 14th of April according to the Gregorian calendar.
The text (freely translated) reads: "Issued in Our Palace of St. James, on 3rd/14th April in the 1750th year in the three and twentieth of Our Reign. George R[ex]"
The text is written in German language and 'German Kurrent' cursive script, the words "Palais", "St. James", "April" and the signature appear in 'Latin font'.
This document is available in the Haupstaatsarchiv Hannover; I scanned in the final paragraph and uploaded it.
