English: Two months before the start of the Pan Am Flight 103 bombing trial I emailed to the Lord Advocate for Scotland a single-page report entitled Lockerbie bombing: further evidence to implicate South Africa together with 14 attachments, also emailing the report and attachments to the trial defence lawyers. J A Dunn, Principal Depute at the Crown Office, wrote in reply on 20 March 2000:
I refer to your item of email correspondence received here on 17 March 2000. The Lord Advocate has seen your communication and I have been asked to reply on his behalf. I do not consider that there is anything contained within the material which you sent that would provide an evidential basis for instigating charges against anyone.
