Description
English: Monument to John André,(1750-1780) in the nave of Westminster Abbey, London. Andre was buried in the nave in 1821 after his body had been returned from America where he had been hanged as a British spy, His monument designed, by Robert Adam and created by Peter Mathias Van Gelder, has a greiving figure of Britannia and a lion on top of a sarcophagus.
