DescriptionMount Kisco Metro-North Station; Old NYC Mileage Sign.JPG
English: A mileage sign at the Mount Kisco (Metro-North station) in Mount Kisco, New York. The sign dates back to the days of the New York Central Railroad when the Harlem Line went as far north as Chatham Union Station. According to the sign, Grand Central Terminal is 36.7 miles south, and Chatham Union Station is 90.8 miles to the north. The accuracy of those measurements are debatable. UPDATE: Evidently, New York Central based those measurements on the distance to the entrance to 42nd Street, rather than the location of the platform. Also, this sign was removed in early 2017.
More prominent photographers such as Doug Kerr, Adam Moss and Emily Moser have their own versions, but I don't own the rights to those. This one is mine.
