English: The sign was designed by Mr. and Mrs. Barber and Mrs. Welch and made by Thurston Foundries in 1989. The sign is dominated by the oak tree in the centre which relates to the village name. Around the tree are elements that relate to agriculture in the area represented by corn sheaves on either side of the tree and cows and pigs below. A stone built into the base records "St Catherine's Hall, Occold, Built in memory of Frances Catherine Todd. 1909. The sign is located on the area where the hall once stood.
