English: The Pekin Theatre (also called Pekin Inn or Pekin Café) was located at 2700 State Street, Chicago, Illinois in the 1910s-20s. It was purported to be the first Chicago Theatre owned and operated by African Americans. Many early jazz artists played there, most notably Joe "King" Oliver. The upstairs section was called the Beaux Arts Café.
