Description
Dansk: Billedet viser biodiversiteten under Phanerozoikum-æonen. Bemærk at denne er et nettoresultat af ændringer i arters uddøen og opkomsten af nye arter. Den såkaldte Dresbachium-uddøen er i særdeleshed utydeliggjort af næsten øjeblikkelig erstatning med nye slægter.

Farvekode:

  • grå = Alle kendte slægter fra Sepkowskis katalog (citeret af Rohde & Muller)
  • grøn = "veldefinerede slægter", dvs. kendte slægter med undtagelse af dem, der optræder som "enkelte fund" eller hvis datering er usikker
  • rød = trend for "veldefinerede slægter". Udledt ved at tilpasse et tredjegradspolynomium til dataen.
  • gul = de 5 store tilfælde af masseuddøen.
  • blå = andre tilfælde af uddøen.
