Phantom, with German intertitles. 2013 2K transfer of a 2003 restoration by Luciano Berriatúa and Camille Blot-Wellens for the Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau Foundation. This restoration is based on a camera negative and a dupe negative from the German Federal Archives, scanned at L'Immagine Ritrovata. Intertitles are from the camera negative. Missing intertitles, marked by the Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau Foundation's logo (FWMS), are reconstructed based on the shooting script for the film. Colors are based on notes from the negative and a tinted export print preserved at the Cineteca Nacional de Chile. |
