The image serves an informational and educational purpose as the primary means of illustrating a new type of work (three-dimensional, “scroll work”) and critical moment in the artist's practice and technique: her fifth decade of practice which saw a shift in her work to more three-dimensional assemblage and objects and a new series using a scroll-like format. These works have been written about in national reviews and exhibited extensively. Because the article is about an artist and her work, the omission of the image would significantly limit a reader's understanding and ability to visualize this method in her art and her development. Bramson’s work of this type and the work itself are discussed in the article and elsewhere.

There is no free equivalent of this or any other of this series by Bramson, so the image cannot be replaced by a free image.
