DescriptionPirpukur Darga at Ukilpara area of Raiganj town in Uttar Dinajpur district 22.jpg
English: The Pirpukur Darga is situated at Ukilpara area of Raiganj town in Uttar Dinajpur district. It is assumed that the Darga was constructed in about 1758 A.D. It was constructed over the remains of Pir Syed Burahan. He was a leader during the rebellion of the Fakir and Sannyasin in the early time of the British domination in the late-eighteenth century.
The Darga was built using small bricks. There are some niches on the wall. The shrine of the Pir is always covered using 'Shalu' throughout the year. The Darga derives its name from a huge pond in front of it. On the occasion of Bengali New Year, a fair is held around the pond every year.
In 2011, the West Bengal Heritage Commission declared the Darga as heritage.
