English: The stamp program to recognize the territories of the United States included a 3-cent stamp on November 25, 1937, in honor of Puerto Rico. The U.S. acquired Puerto Rico from Spain by treaty in 1898. The stamp displays the old Governor's Palace known as 'La Fortaleza'.
