Summary

Description
English: Rattle in the shape of a lion passant. In the 18th century people had lost their belief in the magic powers of the rattle. Silver smiths designed new forms, such as rattles in the shape of a lion passant. But at the same time the older models remained in fashion.
Nederlands: Rammelaar in de vorm van een lopende leeuw. In de achttiende eeuw gelooft men niet meer in de magische krachten van de rinkelbel. Zilversmeden maken nieuwe vormen, zoals rammelaars in de vorm van een lopende leeuw. Maar tegelijkertijd blijven ook de ouder modellen in de mode.
Deutsch: Rassel in der Form eines laufenden Löwen. Im 18. Jahrhundert glaubte man nicht mehr an die magischen Kräfte der Schelle. Silberschmiede schufen neue Formen, z. B. Rasseln in der Form eines laufenden Löwen. Aber zugleich blieben auch die älteren Modelle modern.
