Description
English: Lucius Copeland "Phaeton Moto-Cycle" steam tricycle at North entrance to Smithsonian Institution Building. Lucius D. Copeland is the driver. Frances Benjamin Johnston is the passenger. Patent attorney B. C. Poole and an associate, and Copeland's partner in the Northrop Manufacturing Co., Sandford Northrop. On the right are E. H. Hawley , W. H. Travis and J. Elfreth Watkins, all of the Smithsonian.
