Summary

Description
English: Mary Hockaday

Jim MacMillan Tina Rosenberg Kathryn Thier

For years audiences have complained that problem-oriented news turns them off. Younger audiences say the same thing, but also that solutions-oriented news would draw them in. At the same time, many journalists want their stories to “make a difference” in a different way than the journalism they grew up with. So, could solutions journalism be a solution? Organized in collaboration with the Agora Journalism Center - School of Journalism & Communication (University of Oregon), an initiative supported by funding from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.
