  • The open G, D, A, and E strings played arco, with the bow
  • The open G, D, A, and E strings played pizzicato, without the bow
  • An A major scale played arco
  • An A major scale played pizzicato
  • The first four notes of an A major scale played with vibrato
  • An A major scale played col legno
  • Natural harmonics on the A string: octave A, octave and a fifth E, and two octave A
  • Artificial (false) harmonic of the A three octaves above the second-space treble clef A.
  • Harmonic glissando on the A string
