Whitmoor Common is an SSSI−Sites of Special Scientific Interest in Surrey that mainly consists of heathland, but there are large tracts of woodland too, as seen here with oak, hazel, silver birch and other deciduous species.
The common is drained north-eastwards by Whitmoor Common Brook, seen here as it is about to exit the common in a culvert through the railway embankmant.
