Summary

This is a picture of Dinky taken in October 2005 few weeks before he died. Dinky is a pure bred Japanese spitz male dog who lived to 18 years and few weeks which may make him the longest living Japanese spitz dog. Suffered from cataract for the last 3-4 years, and couldn't hear well. But the appearance (as seen) was very deceiving, where everybody thought he was 5-6 years old.

In Mount Lavinia, Sri Lanka there have been a pure bred Japanese spitz male dog which lived up to 18 years and few days (Born 1987 Oct, died 2005 Dec) owned by Thilakaratne family (vegetarians). Dinky was nourished mainly with fish, rice and curries only. They have given meat very rarely and that also only during its younger years.
