Media data and Non-free use rationale
Description This is a snippet of Streets of Rage Super Mix from Streets of Rage 2. The opening piano segment strongly demonstrates the timbre-altering effects of the YM2612's TDM mechanism and but one potential way to use it to achieve a unique timbre or chorus effect.

Purpose of use in article (WP:NFCC#8) This song amply demonstrates the "ladder effect" of the YM2612's TDM DAC, and its effect on the output. On emulators and newer systems utilizing an ASIC FM, the piano chorus is almost completely inaudible due to modifications made to the ASIC FM.

The best way to demonstrate this sound artifact is a sound clip. It is also necessary to demonstrate that the TDM's distortion is not always a 'bad' thing.
Minimal use (WP:NFCC#3) I only intend to use short snippets from copyrighted games to demonstrate the often un-emulatable musical timbres and sound effects certain games utilize on the YM2612 with its unique output hardware, and to demonstrate just how horrendously lacking most (as of 9/3/2015) emulators of the YM2612 (and for that matter Sega's ASIC FM implementation) are.
