Why mirrored?

[edit]

If the point of using non-free photos in Wikipedia is to illustrate a point using only the material (i.e., non-free) that is available, yet Wikipedia is supposed to use that material in a way that preserves its commercial viability, why should a substantially-altered non-free photo be allowed to be used? Mirroring the photo, in my opinion, is more than just a subtle change and actually presents a false image of what is being represented. I feel that the photo should be presented in the article in its original state, not mirrored. --Ericdn (talk) 02:56, 17 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
