Please study more about this throne before deleting it. Details are in books written by Orthodox and Marthoma historians. Because it is an antique it is not exhibited publicly and you may not be allowed to view it. Can you provide sources? Which Orthodox books claim this? Even if such a chair existed, how can you say, that what you show is the orginal one? Is the chair carbon dated? Most of the Marthoma Metropolitans were consecrated at various places in kerala, from North to south, did someone carry the chair to all these places? Is their any sources about this in any book? Most of early Marthoma Metropolitans survived miraculously from various catholic attacks, were such people so lucky enough to have enthroned on a special chair, that too transported to various locations?.

Marthoma church got many artifacts which were stolen by the British Anglican missionary Rev.Pete from the Orthodox Old seminary in Kottayam. One among the missings, were the "chepped", but, Pete, would be an idiot, if he had tried to steel such a heavy chair... Needless to say he would never do so. Hence, the Chair was not among the stolen goods, which the marthomites proudly display in thiruvalla. So where did this chair come from to a 100 year old church.
