Origins

FinancialForce.com was founded in 2009 with an investment from UNIT4,[1] and salesforce.com.

The company started by specializing in accounting and billing solutions that are closely coupled with Salesforce CRM applications. In December 2010, FinancialForce purchased Appirio's Professional Services Enterprise (PSE) product, which later was renamed FinancialForce Professional Services Automation.[2]

Locations

FinancialForce.com is headquartered in San Mateo, California, with EMEA headquarters in Harrogate, UK (which also covers the Asia Pacific region). Other offices are located in Manchester, NH and Lakewood, CO.

FinancialForce Accounting

FinancialForce Accounting is a real-time financial management system that runs in the cloud, allowing users to access it from anywhere. It allows for multi-dimensional analysis including multi-company, multi-currency, global tax, multicultural, providing a uniform user experience across all accounting functions. The latest version, FinancialForce Accounting Spring '11, was released in June 2011.[3]

Professional Services Automation (PSA)

Professional services automation software is also a cloud-based services solution that is built on Force.com platform. It allows companies to manage professional resources, customers, projects and financials in one integrated services management application by aligning sales, services and finance on one system.

Services Resource Planning (SRP)

FinancialForce Services Resource Planning combines Salesforce CRM, FinancialForce Accounting and FinancialForce PSA.[4] It is an end to end solution for professional services organizations encompassing sales activities, the hand-off from sales to services, resource management, project & portfolio management, accounting, billing.
