A 1966 fire in Iloilo City on February 7, 1966 devastated a large section of the City Proper of Iloilo City in the Philippines. It led to widespread destruction of the central business district of the city. Almost one-third of the commercial district of the city were burned to the ground. After the fire, many of the surviving concrete commercial buildings were rebuilt while many homes were replaced by commercial structures. The survivors were relocated in part to the district of La Paz of Iloilo City. The Majestic Theater was rebuilt. The Marymart Center is an example of a new commercial structure.
