"Fireflies" is a song by Owl City, the song is released as the first single from his second album Ocean Eyes. Relient K vocalist Matt Thiessen is featured as a guest vocalist in the song. The song debuted at #97 in the US on the Billboard Hot 100, however it soon became a hit, reaching #1. The song's leap to number one in the US gave the album it's from rise on the Billboard 200 from #20 to #8.

Video

The music video features Adam Young playing the song on his synthesizer in a toy-filled bedroom, where most of the toys (including an astronaut, toy cars, and a blimp) come to life. It was directed by Steve Hoover.[1] The video had an exclusive premiere on MySpace, but was leaked onto Dailymotion and YouTube hours earlier.
