The Flag of Kiev is a rectangular piece of fabric that is azure in colour. The coat of arms of Kiev is placed in the centre of the flag, which represents the Archangel Michael in white robes, holding a flaming sword in his right hand and a shield in his left hand.

The flag and coat of arms were adopted by a resolution of the City Council of Kiev in 1995.
