Fleabag Monkeyface is an animated TV show based on the popular Fleabag Monkeyface series of books by Knife and Packer that airs on British channel CITV. It is aimed at children 6–10 years old. The show follows the gross-out adventures of the eponymous hero and his two creators, Gene and Gerald.[1][2][3][4]

Production

The 52 11-minute episodes were developed and produced for TV through a partnership between Sparky Animation, Impossible Kids and Walker Productions, the production arm of children's publishers Walker Books. The series was launched on CITV, ITV1 and GMTV1 from September 2011 to January 2012.

Reception

Viewing figures for Fleabag Monkeyface have been consistently high. On BARB it has ranked as one of CITV's most popular shows, repeatedly featuring in the Top Ten and peaking in the top three. The show also airs on ABC3 in Australia.
