Friends Like These was a British game show that was broadcast on BBC One first as a pilot on 6 November 1999 and then as a full series from 12 February 2000 until 20 September 2003. It was presented by Ant & Dec from 1999 to 2001 and later by Ian Wright until 2003.

Format

The game show involved two teams, one male and one female, both made up of five individuals. Each team then had to compete in 4 challenges, picking one person from their team for each challenge. Each challenge would win the team a point, which would go forward to the final round, also known as "The Decider". When each team was left with one contestant a piece, they would then go forward to play the deciding challenge, which could win them many points. The team with the most points at the end would be the winners, would go through to the question round.

The winning team would then taken to the face to face round, where each member of the team was asked a question to see how much they know about them. If the person correctly guesses their friend's answer, their chair stays white. However, if the person incorrectly guesses their friend's answer, their chair goes red. After all of these questions had been asked, the team could leave, with only those in white winning the prize. They also had the option to gamble, in which case everyone in the red and white would be asked a question about all 5, and if they got it right, they would also go white. However, if they got it wrong, none of the team would receive the prize.
