Fritz Belizaire is a Haitian politician and the current acting Prime Minister of Haiti. He was appointed Prime Minister by the Transitional Presidential Council. Before serving as Prime Minister, he was the Sports Minister in 2006.[1][2] Belizaire has been described as "little known" by the Associated Press at the time of his appointment to the post of Prime Minister; however, he was praised by Edgard Leblanc Fils, the acting President chosen the same day by the Transitional Presidential Council.[3]
