GKK Šibenik is a Croatian professional basketball club based in Šibenik. It competes in the HT Premijer liga. The club considers itself a successor to KK Šibenik.
History
The club was founded in 2010 under the name Šibenik Stari grad (Šibenik Old town). In August 2011 club changed its name to the present one.
As famous Šibenik's club KK Šibenka bankrupted, GKK Šibenik competed with local KK Jolly to become most popular basketball club in town, carrying the legendary club's colors and playing in the same basketball hall. GKK Šibenik won the sympathies of many Šibenik residents who now see GKK Šibenik as a successor to the famous KK Šibenka.
GKK Šibenik now plays in Premijer liga and has achieved long-awaited stability, with the help of Turkish sponsors Doğuş Group and City Council of Šibenik.
In 2016–17 season, Šibenik finished the season at the 3rd place after losing in the semifinal of the playoffs.
In 2017–18 season, Šibenik finished the season at the 5th place after loose in the quarterfinal of the playoffs.
