GTECH Corporation, a company based in Providence, Rhode Island, United States, became a wholly owned subsidiary of GTECH S.p.A., (ex Lottomatica S.p.A.) on August 29, 2006. The De Agostini Group, a privately held Italian holding company, is GTECH's majority shareholder. The merger of GTECH and Lottomatica included a cash transaction valued at approximately $4.7 billion on a fully diluted basis, including the assumption of debt.

Ticker symbol

GTECH's Corporation ticker symbol on the New York Stock Exchange was GTK, however the stock has been delisted in the United States.

Headquarters

GTECH Corp. moved its corporate headquarters from its campus in West Greenwich, to a $80 million 10-story building in downtown Providence near Waterplace Park.[2] GTECH S.p.A. operates in all continents and it employs over 8.500 individuals worldwide in 52 countries. Company has customers in 114 countries and in 2012 had revenues of 3.08 billion euro, an increase of 3.4% over the previous year.
