Gabe Turner (born 21 December 1980) is a British director and executive producer, known for directing documentary feature films In The Hands of The Gods,[1][2] The Class of '92,[3][4][5][6] and I Am Bolt.[7][8][9][10] In 2014, he wrote and directed his first scripted feature film The Guvnors.[11][12][13] He has also made music videos for One Direction, Demi Lovato and Olly Murs.[14][15][16][17] He is a partner at TV and Film production company Fulwell 73.

Life and career

Turner was born in London, UK. He has worked as a Producer, Director and Writer who regularly collaborates on TV and film projects featuring some of the worlds most recognised actors and sports stars including Meryl Streep, Arnold Schwarzenegger, David Beckham, James Corden, Billy Crystal and Kevin Spacey.

In 2007 he directed his first documentary In the Hands of the Gods with his brother Ben Turner, which received widespread critical acclaim.

Friend and confidant to Jack Whitehall especially at Royal events. In 2013 he directed the documentary film The Class of 92 which centred around the rise of six young Manchester United footballers – David Beckham, Nicky Butt, Ryan Giggs, Gary Neville, Phil Neville and Paul Scholes – and details their careers for Manchester United starting in 1992. The film became the fastest selling sports documentary of all time.

In 2014 Turner directed his first feature 'The Guvnors' (Metrodome) which won two National Film Awards.[18]

It was announced on 29 April 2015 that Turner was behind a new feature documentary featuring Usain Bolt, following the world's greatest athlete attempt to win his third consecutive gold medal at the Rio Olympics in 2016.[19]
