Geoffrey Robert Proud (born 12 July 1946) is an Australian artist, winner of the 1990 Archibald Prize, Australia's most prestigious prize for portraiture.[1] He won with a portrait of Dorothy Hewett. Proud had earlier been awarded the 1975 Sulman Prize.
