George Pieterson (5 March 1942, Amsterdam – 24 April 2016[1]) was a Dutch clarinetist.

Pieterson studied clarinet with his uncle, Jos d'Hondt. He joined the Radio Filharmonisch Orkest at the age of 18, and was the principal clarinetist of the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra and finally of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in Amsterdam from 1975 until 2004.[2] He played on a Wurlitzer Reform-Boehm clarinet.[3] He performed with Hephzibah Menuhin and Edo de Waart.
