George W. Bryant was the second head football coach for the Virginia Military Institute Keydets located in Lexington, Virginia and he held that position for two seasons, from 1895 until 1896. His career coaching record at VMI was 8 wins, 5 losses, and 0 ties. This ranks him 15th at VMI in total wins and seventh at VMI in winning percentage.[2]
