Girdhari Lal Dogra

Girdhari Lal (born Bhaiya Village, Kathua District, 17 July 1915; d 27 November 1987)[1] was a member of the Lok Sabha from Jammu and Kashmir, a member of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly and served as Finance minister of the state for 26 years.[2][3]

He was a member of 7th and 8th Lok Sabha from Jammu[4]and Udhampur respectively. He studied at Hindu College, Amritsar and later at Law College, Lahore. He was an advocate by profession[1] and was the father-in-law of Arun Jaitley (via his daughter Sangeeta).
