Started in 2001 and founded by Clarence Tan, GlobalRoam’s objective is to connect people across diverse media, transcending barriers created by technology across different platforms.

GlobalRoam’s has three core products currently; gCross, cMask® and budgetRoam, of which gCross and cMask® have been launched by various telecommunications companies, with whom the company has partnerships with.

Patented Technology

GlobalRoam’s aims to bridge the mobile world to the online world with her patented technology, Smartmap® allows the sharing of a small pool of DDI numbers to reach to a large mass of users. This is done to provide convenience and cost savings for end-users without any additional software downloads or equipment. This patented technology is what gives GlobalRoam’s products an edge over others and keeps her differentiated from others. Countries where this mapping technology has been patented include Singapore, India, US and Australia.

cMask®

GlobalRoam's Smartmap® patented mapping technology, cMask® allows mobile phone users to call and send SMS anonymously without having to reveal their real mobile phone number. The user simply dials a prefix in front of the number of the contact they want to call. After which a masked number will appear on their contact’s phone. Upon establishing a connection between the cMask® user and the contact, the contact will subsequently be able to reach the cMask® user via a cMask® number.

gCross

gCross allows users to dial international yet pay local calling charges. This is possible due to GlobalRoam's Smartmap® patented mapping technology. Users can be contacted by people worldwide without having to deal with hefty IDD charges. Mobile subscribers in more than 40 countries can talk and send messages to their VOIP (voice over internet protocol) friends and contacts at local rates. Users can communicate in the following ways: PC to mobile, PC to PC or even mobile to PC. It is affordable and at the same time provides a convenient way to connect with users’ contacts because the contact can be online from any location.

2 types of number concept are available for gCross: shared number and dedicated number . Besides this shared and dedicated number feature, basic features such as sms, call, call history and added features like call forwarding, miss call notification, fax are also supported. The call forwarding feature allows user to forward his/her calls his/her registered mobile phone number even when user is offline. This allows people to reach the user regardless of whether user is online or offline.

Budget Roam

budgetRoam allows users to make calls locally as well as internationally when on the go. Whether user is at home or overseas, user can make local or overseas calls without worrying about high mobile costs. Making use of free-incoming calls coupled with our low airtime rates, the user will be able call anywhere around the world and enjoy cost-savings while roaming. Features that can be incorporated in budgetRoam include Call Forwarding, Call Back, Call Through and Conference.
