Godden Mackay Logan (GML) is an Australian consultancy firm specialising in the areas of heritage advice, historical and Aboriginal archaeology, and interpretation of heritage places.[1][2][3]
The firm was established in 1973 in Sydney, by Don Godden, Richard MacKay and David Logan.[4] It has undertaken work at Angkor Wat, Mawson's Huts in Antarctica, Lake Mungo National Park and the Sydney Opera House. It was involved in major archaeological excavations at the Little Lon district and the Royal Exhibition Building in Melbourne, as well as extensive archeological work in Sydney's Rocks district.[5]
The company has won numerous prizes for its heritage conservation works, and has close associations with La Trobe University Archaeology Department. The Godden Mackay Logan prize is awarded to the best essay in a heritage subject at LaTrobe University each year.[6]
