Gordon Kennedy (actor)
Gordon Kennedy (born 22 February 1958) is a Scottish actor. Kennedy grew up in Tranent, East Lothian, and attended George Watson's College in Edinburgh. He then went to the Scottish School of PE at Jordanhill College (now part of the University of Strathclyde).
He first rose to prominence in the sketch show Absolutely and presented the 'original' National Lottery show, alongsideAnthea Turner. He has appeared in several dramas, including the role of Sergeant Bruce Hornsby in the BBC drama, Red Cap. He has also appeared in the BBC Scotland soap River City.
From 2006 - 2009 he starred as Little John in all three series of the BBC production of Robin Hood. In 2007, during the filming of the second series, he pulled a ligament in his leg. When he was taken to hospital in Budapest he was in full mediaeval costume but had had his trousers removed to apply ice to the injury. This, combined with his inability to speak Hungarian, led to him being mistakenly left to one side as the hospital staff thought he was a tramp until they were corrected by a production member.
