The Gorgan salamander (Paradactylodon gorganensis) is a species of salamanders in the Hynobiidae family, endemic to a single location in Iran, the caves near the Shir-Abad Waterfall. Its habitats are freshwater springs, inland karsts, and caves. It is threatened by habitat loss and considered critically endangered due to its extremely limited range and small population size.[1]
