The Government Engineering College, Wayanad is an engineering college established and managed by the Government of Kerala, India. It was inaugurated in 1999 with an intake of 120 students in Computer Science, and Electronics and Communication. A new course on Electircal and Electronics Engineering started in 2010 with intake of another 60 students. The college is affiliated to Kannur University. It also has a M.Tech course in Communication Engg. & Signal Processing with intake of 18 students in year of 2011.

The current Principal is Dr. Anil B., who is also the director of CERD.

GEC Wayanad is located at Thalapuzha, 6 km from Manathavady town.
