HC Bloemendaal

Hockey Club Bloemendaal is a Dutch field hockey club, which was established on April 16, 1895, and is therefore one of the oldest field hockey clubs in the Netherlands. Originally, the club was also playing bandy. As of October 31, 2004, the Bloemendaal based club has 1.307 members.
HC Bloemendaal is one of the most successful clubs in the Netherlands, with the men's team competing for the title in the highest league ("Hoofdklasse") nearly every year. In 2006 the team coached by Michel van den Heuvel won the national championship by defeating Amsterdam in the final of the play-offs (best-of-three).
